Creating an Animated GIF

Files to Download

You will need to download two files to your folder for this assignment.

  1. Create a new folder inside your folder. Call it "Animated GIFs".
  2. Save the files below in this new folder. To download, right-click the link below and select "Save Target As..." Be sure to save the files in your new Animated GIFs folder.

A Note on the GIFs

I created both GIFs from scratch in Fireworks. I am no artist, I promise you. Every element in both GIFs started out as an ellipse except the doggie's legs (rectangles) and the rim of the pot of gold (triangle). I'm telling you this so you'll see that it's pretty easy to draw something in Fireworks even if you have zero artistic ability—like me.
